Hadestown Teen Edition will be performed at M-A in March

Menlo-Atherton High School drama is presenting Hadestown, a modern musical that intertwines the ancient Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice with Hades and Persephone. Performance dates are March 14-16 and 21-23, 2025.
Set in a dystopian, Depression-era world, the story follows Orpheus, a poor but talented musician, as he falls in love with Eurydice, a young woman struggling to survive.

When Eurydice is lured into the underworld by Hades with promises of security, Orpheus embarks on a dangerous journey to rescue her. The musical blends haunting folk and jazz-inspired songs to explore the consequences of trust, choice, and humanity’s eternal hope for redemption.
