Exhibit of Mitchell Johnson paintings in San Francisco through May 30

Menlo Park-based artist Mitchell Johnson’s latest exhibit — Giant Paintings from New England, California and Newfoundland — is on view in the lobby of 425 Market Street in San Francisco.
Emails Mitchell: “Here is a photo of me with my painting Buoys (Rosenquist), 2025, 120×78 inches, oil/canvas.
“This is a new painting which has never been shown. The exhibition of seven large scale paintings, and three small paintings, includes three views connected to the Presidio.
“The exhibit has already received some national press with a new review by the legendary art critic, Donald Kuspit, in Whitehot Magazine and this announcement which was published in Hyperallergic.”
The show can be viewed any day at any hour by going to the Fremont Street entrance of 425 Market. During regular weekday business hours, the lobby and its two galleries are open on both sides of the building.
There are seven notecard sets that go with the show, and they can be purchased at Kepler’s, SFMOMA, and on Amazon.
The exhibition runs through May 30, 2025.
