by Linda Hubbard on May 2, 2025

InMenlo residents Pam Salvatierra and Mary Watson let InMenlo know about a new group that was recently formed. Emails Mary (pictured in photo with sign that says “no kings in America”).

“We are forming a group of community members that would like to support each other in speaking out against what is happening in Washington DC. Many of us have never protested before and we come from many different backgrounds, but we all want our Constitution followed and our Democracy to remain strong.

“For the first time 10 of us met in Fremont Park this past Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30 am. We walked with signs that spoke to our grievances down through the Farmers Market and on to the intersection of El Camino and Ravenswood where motorists gave us a lot of attention. Everyone agreed that it was an hour of their time that was very well spent.

“It was only a small portion of our community, but we believe that there are others who would like the opportunity to join in and speak out. If this is something you are interested in please join us! We would like this to be a weekly event. Once again we meet at Fremont Park Sundays 10:30-11:30 am.Late arrivals should meet us at El Camino and Ravenswood.”
