2025 Schoolhouse Rocks 5K Run draws 1,200 participants

Since 2013, thousands of local families have gathered each spring for the Schoolhouse Rocks 5K Run and Festival — and this past Sunday was no exception. Presented by the Menlo Park-Atherton Education Foundation, the event drew over 1,200 friends, families, and four-legged companions who ran, walked, and strolled under sunny skies in support of public schools.

The celebration continued with food trucks, bounce houses, a drum circle, karaoke, and more.The event unites not only the Encinal, Laurel, Oak Knoll, and Hillview school communities, but also MPCSD alumni now running for Menlo-Atherton High School, neighbors from across Menlo Park and Atherton, and over 100 enthusiastic Run Club participants who call it their favorite race of the year.
