Spotted: Great Horned Owlet with its mother

It is the end of May and summer is right around the corner! This is the time of year when winged creatures start coming out of their nests.

This applies to owls as well, and there are multiple locations where Great Horned Owlets have just fledged from their nest after a few days of branching and wing flapping. The nests just become too crowded and the little ones just want out. The baby is on the right in this photo.
