Special Juneteenth dinner coming to Springline on June 19

by Contributed Content on June 13, 2025

On Thursday, June 19 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, Springline Menlo Park will be hosting a ticketed Cowboy Carter-inspired Juneteenth dining experience titled, “Salt, Soil, and Soul.”

Produced in collaboration with Soul Box Supper Club, this intimate, five-course event celebrates Black freedom and flavor through an immersive culinary and cultural journey.

Set outdoors, the evening will feature music by DJ Black Woman, curated cocktails from the Greenwood to Parkwood Bar, and activations including a mechanical bull ride, a portrait pop-up by Rough Thesis, and The Blackbiird Altar, a space for guests to reflect and write letters to ancestors, elders, or their younger selves.

Highlights from the menu include: crab and corn hush puppies with cayenne-honey butter, grilled watermelon with jerk shrimp, peach-glazed lamb chops (or vegan black-eyed pea cakes), and brown sugar bruleéd peach bread pudding. Each course is paired with a conversation card, a lyrical prompt rooted in Juneteenth legacy, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter lyrics, and local history.
