Shock Treatment screens at the Menlo Park Library on August 8

On Friday, August 8, 2025  from 6:30 to 8:15 pm, come to the Menlo Park Library to celebrate the upcoming 50th anniversary of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” and watch “Shock Treatment,” the little-known sequel!

In this 1981 musical follow-up to Rocky Horror, the characters we remember are played by different actors; the actors we remember play different characters; and rather than poking fun at the horror genre, the target of the satire is television.

Rated PG. That’s a 1981 PG; would be a PG-13 today. In the pursuit of satire, some sensitive content and/or problematic themes could induce a gasp.
