NorCal Men’s Youth Crew qualifies for first-ever Henley appearance

A local crew team, NorCal Crew, had an extraordinary summer qualifying for and rowing for the first time ever in Henley Royal Regatta in Henley England.

Menlo Park sophomore Henry Pecore, was stroke (leader) — pictured first facing front.

The NorCal Varsity eight was one of three U.S. boats to make it to the Princess Elizabeth Cup. The event is the Wimbledon of rowing as many rowers row their whole career and never qualify.
