Calling young poets – enter to win the Bay Area Youth Poetry Competition

Have you ever written a poem? Submit it to the Bay Area Youth Poetry Competition for a chance to win a prize. Hosted by the Atherton Library (pictured) and the Atherton Youth Advisory Group, the contest is open to all youth living or attending school in the Bay Area,
Submissions will be judged by a panel of distinguished lecturers from Stanford University, Notre Dame de Namur University, and Kepler’s Foundation — and winners will be recognized for their outstanding work with cash prizes — High School Winner – $150; Middle School Winner – $120; Elementary Winner – $75.
Submission deadline: September 15, 2025
