Create Cheyenne and Mexica shields on September 17

On Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 3:45 to 4:45 pm, come to the Belle Haven Library (100 Terminal Ave.) to learn about the Native American tribe of the Cheyenne and the Mexica indigenous people of Mexico, and create your own Chimalli (shield) image with designs inspired by these cultures.

Use a template or create your own pattern, and make a piece of art with cardboard and feathers.

There is no preregistration for this all-ages event, but supplies are limited. Please arrive by starting time to help ensure a space.
