Community is invited to Toastmaster Open House on January 20

Emailed Toastmaster Donne Davis: “We’re having an Open House on Tuesday, January 20 at our regular meeting time from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. We meet at Bethany Lutheran Church [1095 Cloud Ave.] every Tuesday — and everyone is welcome to attend.

“With the start of the New Year, many of us are contemplating the annual ritual of setting goals and making resolutions. Exercise, diet, and sleep are the top three behaviors people want to improve. But what about the skill we use every single day — and often don’t even think about — how we communicate?

“Nearly everyone dreads public speaking — but here in Menlo Park, we help people turn that fear into confidence.

“Menlo Park Toastmasters Club offers a supportive, encouraging space for people from all walks of life to practice public speaking, build leadership skills, and discover the power of their own voices. Members range from recent college graduates to retirees, tech professionals to parents, and non-native English speakers — all united by a common goal: to speak with confidence.”
