MPCSD hosts author Catherine Price in conversation on January 21
On January 21, 2026, from 6:00-7:00 pm, the Menlo Park City School District is hosting Catherine Price, co-author of the just-released book The Amazing Generation: Your Guide to Fun and Freedom in a Screen-Filled World by Jonathan Haidt and Catherine Price.
She will discuss how young people can be empowered to stand up for themselves by choosing a life not dominated by screens. Parents/caregivers or anyone working with children will leave with ideas for how to engage young people as together we create a community where children grow, explore, enjoy unstructured time, and avoid becoming the next anxious generation.
