Hillview & M-A basketball teams raising funds for coach Jhavante Hill on January 31

The Hillview Middle School and Menlo-Atherton High School basketball teams are teaming up to help raise funds for the current Hillview Middle School basketball coach, Jhavante Hill (pictured).

Jhavante Hill is a prominent figure in the M-A basketball community as he has coached the M-A freshman basketball team and is now currently coaching the Hillview Middle School basketball team.

While dealing with the loss of a family member, his car exploded, and he has had to rely on public transportation and colleagues to get to and from practice and games.

So this Saturday, January 31st from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, members of the Hillview Middle and Menlo-Atherton High basketball teams are partnering with the Menlo-Atherton Service Learning Center to host a car wash at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (1105 Valparaiso Avenue, Menlo Park).

All proceeds will go towards purchasing a vehicle for the school’s beloved basketball coach, Jhavante Hill. There is also a go fund me effort to help raise more funds towards the cause.
