Menlo-Atherton HS Big Band Dance returns on February 28
The Big Band Dance is back! For the first time since 2020, M-A Music’s signature event returns to the calendar for its 35th edition. Bring your dancing shoes on Saturday, February 28, from 6:00-9:00 pm and come to the Menlo-Atherton High School Gym.
A benefit for the M-A Music program, the Big Band Dance features live music performed by M-A’s own Jazz 2 and Jazz Ensemble, under the skillful direction of Bill Flaherty, along with special guest appearances by the Hillview and La Entrada jazz bands.
100% of proceeds will benefit the M-A instrumental music program with a goal of raising $10,000 to support the annual music budget. Over 95% of the music program budget supports needed equipment and sheet music, travel costs, festival fees, and scholarships so that all students can participate in their ensemble’s performances and trips.
Admission includes dinner, dessert, mocktails, live music, and swing dancing lessons. Advance pricing is available through Monday, February 22.
