Encinal School’s astronomy week is out of this world

For the second year, Encinal School hosted an astronomy program — and based on last year’s success it expanded into a whole week of activities and learning.

From themed art projects to an in-school assembly with a planetarium dome to the evening family astronomy night, it was a star-studded week at Encinal.

Community members lent high powered telescopes for the evening and the school PTO provided hot chocolate and glow sticks.

Nature provided the rest as the crowd enjoyed views of the moon, Jupiter, and Mars.
