Eudora Welty’s “Delta Wedding” is topic at Fiction Book Club on March 10

On Tuesday, March 10, from 6:30 to 7:45 pm, join the Menlo Park Library’s Fiction Book Group online or in person to discuss Delta Wedding by Eudora Welty.
The story, set in 1923, is centered around the ordinary events of the Fairchild’s family life, the upcoming visit of a young relative, Laura McRaven, and the family’s preparations for her cousin Dabney’s wedding.
Eudora Welty (1909–2001) was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and attended the Mississippi State College for Women, the University of Wisconsin, and Columbia University, where she studied advertising. In addition to short fiction, Welty wrote novels, novellas, essays, and reviews, and was the winner of both the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize.
