“Essays” is latest book by Atherton resident Gregory Loew

Atherton resident Gregory Loew’s latest book — Essays — covers diverse subjects along with issues that concern the author as a human being trained as a scientist.

They range from history, a novel by Henry James, science, the celebrations of some of the author’s best friends’ lives, and issues that concern the future of our planet, such as global warming and nuclear weapons.

After a 50 year career at SLAC, Gregory retired as SLAC Deputy Director in 2005.
