A (Mini) History of Animation is topic on April 13

On Monday, April 13, 2026 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, join animator and historian Steve Segal for a brief look at animation’s long history!
From before Gertie the Dinosaur to beyond Pixar, Professor Segal will provide a look at some firsts, some seminal moments, and a few surprises.
The talk takes place at the Menlo Park Library (800 Alma St.)
Segal worked in traditional animation for ten years before expanding into computer animation, eventually joining Pixar as an animator on Toy Story. At Pixar he also worked on A Bug’s Life, as well as short features, commercials, and computer games.
This free event received funding support from the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.
