Peninsula Volunteers hosts 35th annual Author’s Salon on April 26

On Sunday, April 26, 2026, Peninsula Volunteers, Inc. (PVI) is hosting its 35th Annual Authors’ Salon Luncheon. The event will be held at PVI’s Adult Activity Center, Little House (800 Middle Avenue, Menlo Park).

The three authors appearing this year are:

Menlo Park resident Bruce Henderson (pictured) is this year’s featured author. An award-winning American journalist and author of more than 20 nonfiction books, Henderson is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of And the Sea Will Tell. His latest work, Midnight Flyboys: The American Bomber Crews and Allied Secret Agents Who Aided the French Resistance in World War II, is a powerful and riveting account of patriotism, bravery, and sacrifice.

Laurie R. King is the award-winning bestselling author of 18 previous Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes mysteries, a series featuring SFPD cold-case Inspector Raquel Laing, the contemporary Kate Martinelli series, the historical Stuyvesant & Grey stories, and five acclaimed standalone novels. She lives in Northern California, where she is at work on her next Raquel Laing mystery.
