Wonderful — and unusual — photo taken in Atherton by Doug Klein

We reached out to Atherton resident Doug Klein about a photo of his we had spottted — and he replied:

“This was taken our backyard.

“I was experimenting with a new light “tube”. This is a 15 second exposure during which time I took the light and walked toward the camera gently waving it in circles.

“The framing of the red chair in the back corner of the yard was really luck, but it fits well into a general theme of compositions that have small subjects, which is something I try to work with every so often.”
