Juneteenth celebration in Menlo Park takes place on June 19

On Friday, June 19, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, come to the Belle Haven Community Campus (100 Terminal Ave.), to celebrate Juneteenth.

There will be activities for the family and food for purchase plus cultural entertainment including:

  • Storytelling and Caribbean Music Performance by Asheba
  • Chillin’ the Conscious Poet and Queen Gabby
  • Myke tha Kidd
  • Menlo Park Soul Line Dancers
  • Step It Up Dance

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. From its Galveston, Texas origin in 1865, the observance of June 19 as the African American Emancipation Day has spread across the United States and beyond.
