Stanford tree removal work near I-280 and Alpine Road set for two weekends in August
Stanford will be doing some tree removal work near the I-280 off-ramp and Alpine Road on August 9-12, and again on August 16-20.
Ten Eucalyptus Globulus Tasmanian Blue trees will be taken down to their stumps.
These trees have an effect on fire danger, native plants, and wildlife, according to Cal-IPC.
Caltrans has requested the work to be done at night, so the hours will be from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am.
There may be some impacts to car and bike lanes. Traffic controls will be implemented for the I-280 on-ramp to ensure worker and driver safety. Any closures or lane changes will be clearly marked.
The trees to be removed are highlighted in red in the accompanying image.
