Candidates for Menlo Park City Council Districts have until August 12 to file

The nomination period for Menlo Park City Council Districts 1 and 4 are being extended through 5:00 pm, August 12, because an eligible incumbent did not file Nomination Documents.

The November 3 election will have the following seats on the ballot:

-District 1 (full term – four years)
-District 2 (full term – four years)
-District 4 (full term – four years)

Individuals who wish to run for a City Council seat must:

• Be registered to vote in and live in the district in which they are running
• Set up an appointment with the City Clerk by email (jaherren@menlopark.gov) or phone (650-330-6621) to begin the candidate filing process
• Complete all necessary paperwork with the City Clerk’s office by August 12 at 5:00 pm.
