Get current information about the Hawthorns Area Plan project
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District is continuing a multiyear process to develop a plan for natural resource management and ecologically sensitive public access at the Hawthorns Area of Windy Hill Open Space Preserve, located in the Town of Portola Valley.
This document reflects the questions and answers that have arisen during the 2021-
2026 Hawthorns Area planning process with an emphasis on more recent inquiries.
The property remains closed for general recreation while planners evaluate natural resources, cultural features, and future regional trail connections.
