Explore summertime berries while walking Windy Hill Open Space Preserve on September 13
On Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 am, learn about the various berries along the Sausal Pond and Betsy Crowder trails in the Windy Hill Open Space Preserve with Docent Naturalists Olga and Tony Bright.
On this leisurely-paced, family-friendly, two-mile hike, you’ll share berry stories while keeping your eyes open for these fun fruits. (Note: foraging is prohibited on Midpen preserves.) Why are berries an important part of this habitat, and who else might enjoy them in the wild?
The Lower Windy Hill Parking Area at the lower portion of the preserve is located on Portola Road. Please note: This parking lot fills quickly. Please do not park on Portola Road: parking is strictly enforced.
