Menlo Park photographer

InMenlo contributing photographer Laura Hamilton has been photographing newborn babies in her Willows neighborhood home daylight studio for a couple years now — and she’s found her passion.

After the birth of her daughter, nicknamed “Lulu Jane,” she started photographing other babies in her moms group. She quickly realized that photographing babies was something she really enjoyed doing.

“When new parents come in with their brand new baby, they are still in awe of their new little bundle, and I love being able to document that,” she says. “Parents are usually in a euphoric state, and the babies are still in the ‘womb coma’ so they are more poseable.”

“Moms usually contact me when they are pregnant, and I pencil them in two weeks before and a week after their due date,” Laura says. “Then the mom calls me to tell me that the baby is here to schedule the actual date.”

Her clients call her the baby whisperer!

Note: Laura also offer family portrait sessions. Her website is LuluJanePhotography.
