The last M-A parent education program of the school year is the screening of the documentary film In 500 Words or Less, which take you inside the lives of four very different students as they spend their last year with their families trying to figure out who they are and who they want to be. The presentation includes a brief introduction by M-A college advisor Alice Kleeman and M-A students.

“I decided to make this film for my daughters, who are 9 and 12 years old,” said director Molly Fowler. “Despite their young ages they already talk about where they want to go to college. I worry every day that my expectations and ambition for them might cloud their ability to figure out who they are and to choose the right fit for themselves. Those complications are what I wanted to explore.”

You can reserve your free EventBrite tickets online. Space in the theater is limited. M-A Parent Education Series events are free and open to the community, sponsored by the M-A PTA.
