Widgeon rehabs at Scout’s House

by Linda Hubbard on October 9, 2009

When we visited Scout’s House, a full service rehabilitation center for animals, yellow Labrador Retriever Widgeon was working hard to recover from knee surgery on a water treadmill, one of a full range of therapeutic options available. Co-founder Lisa Stahr, who began her career in marketing communications, was inspired to open the facility when she was given a puppy (Scout) who, despite a host of special needs, responded well to rehab. Scout’s House services include therapies designed to help pets cope with and overcome the pain and limited mobility caused by a variety of conditions as well as basic pet conditioning for the couch patio dog.
