Rosewood Sand Hill: All lit up for the holidays

The Rosewood Hotel on Sand Hill has been open less than year but this evening’s first holiday party of the season appeared to be an instant tradition. Families were packed into the lobby for the tree lighting while the bar was hopping with the [usual?] Thursday night see-and-be-seen crowd. That the in-hotel jewelry boutique, Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry, was promising to give away a 64″ pearl necklace every three days during December only helped boost attendance. Meanwhile the entire InMenlo team dined at Madera and came away with an insider tip: Order the padron peppers  (a side dish on the menu)  as an appetizer and ask for extra sea salt. Very tasty and a perfect starter!
