Rain gauges sprout in local gardens

by Chris Gulker on December 28, 2009

InMenlo’s rain data comes from serious amateur meteorologist – and Menlo Park resident – Bill Russ. He reports that the rainfall from Saturday evening to Sunday morning (12/27) as measured in his backyard was .65″ bringing the total, season to date  to 6.4″. This compares to 4.65″ at the same date last year. The rain gauge pictured hails from the part of the country that can get really, really wet – the Mississippi Delta – a gift from the Delta Pine Co.
