Easter rain brings Menlo’s rainfall to normal

The last of the Easter day storm sputtered out just before dawn this morning. By sunrise, there were blue skies overhead in Menlo Park with the sun shining on the just-sprouted leaves of the liquidambar trees that form a canopy on Ambar Road. InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ reports: “There was .7″ of rain yesterday and last night. This brings my year-to-date total to 18.85″ – a satisfatory year for central Menlo Park. Last year at this time I’d recorded 14.45″.
Afternoon update: Bill’s rain gauge recorded another .1”.
