Local ‘good deals’ for families

InMenlo got a tip from Greg Yap, who along with Andrew Wen, just launched MyTownDeal, with the focus on local discounted deals of interest to families. Emails Greg: “Quite a few groups offer group-buying deals and most of them look very alike.  But we, like you [InMenlo], believe in micro-local – we’re focused on delivering the most relevant deals to families in a very targeted geographic area, and we think that will help our customers find, do, and buy more useful stuff!”

The first deal out of the box is $10 worth of $20 toys – or other fun stuff – from Cheeky Monkey on Santa Cruz Avenue in  Menlo Park, using a voucher purchased through MyTownDeal.

The two c0-founders, who are both Palo Alto parents, are promising that 5% of all purchases will be donated to local schools and non-profits selected by each customer.
