There really is a Zoë!

by Linda Hubbard on August 3, 2010

If you’re thinking that Cafe Zoe is distinct to Menlo Park, you’re mistaken. A Google search reveals that it’s a popular name for cafes, located from Seattle to  Paris and all places in between. We do think that “our”  Zoë is unique in one way – there’s a face behind the name, that of owner Kathleen Daly’s teenage daughter Zoë.

” Zoë” means “life” in Greek and as noted in a previous InMenlo post, the cafe has truly become the lifeblood of the Willows community since its transformation from Cafe Expresso 1929 in June 2008 when Kathleen took ownership.

Yesterday, the InMenlo team hung a photo exhibit at Cafe Zoe, which will be on display through August 12. Take a peek if you’re in the area (1929 Menalto, Menlo Park) or say hello in person at a reception this Thursday (8/5) from 5:30 to 7:00.
