Spotted: Unlikely Peet’s coffee customer

Not soon after he sauntered into the Peet’s in downtown Menlo Park earlier today, Teddy Bear the Bulldog was asked to leave. “Dogs aren’t allowed inside,” explained the barista with a grin on his face (how could you not smile!). But Teddy’s master explained that he was a service dog and quite legal. When we asked if Teddy Bear was a MP or Atherton dog, we were told no: “He used to be, but today he’s just here for lunch across the street.” Whether that referred to Fremont Park or Menlo Park Pres, we’re not sure…

I think you mean “barista.” Sorry but “barrister” did make me laugh. That’s an English lawyer and many of them do look and act like bulldogs.

Alas, the editor suffers from spelling dyslexia but even though she thought it funny, too, she’s corrected…
