Workshops teach how to parent with love and logic

by Linda Hubbard on September 13, 2010

A four-session workshop based on the Love and Logic philosophy of Jim Fay and Foster W. Cline, M.D. will be held at Trinity Church in Menlo Park beginning with an introductory session on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

The Parenting with Love and Logic program provides simple and practical techniques to help parents with kids of all ages.  It’s a win-win approach to parenting. Kids learn responsibility and the logic of life by solving their own problems. Parents establish healthy control without resorting to anger, threats or exhausting power struggles.

The four sessions will be lead by Love and Logic facilitator Sally Mancini and will provide opportunities for parents to practice skills, share successes and discuss tactics. After the opening workshop tomorrow evening, the remaining sessions will be held on three Sundays – 9/19, 9/26, 10/17 – from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm. Cost is $115. To register, call the Rev. Beth Foote, (650) 326-2083 ext. 14.
