Thursday (12/16) is last day to make pottery gifts ready in time for Christmas at Color Me Mine

If you’re planning to make some hand-painted ceramics for Christmas gifts, you’d better hurry! The friendly staff at Color Me Mine on Santa Cruz Avenue tell us that Thursday, December 16 is the last day they can guarantee that items made in the store will be ready in time to give for Christmas gifts.

While the big holiday is still more than a week away from their deadline, they tell us that people don’t realize the time required for items to dry, as well as the wait for the kiln, which is running continuously during this busy time.

When we stopped in yesterday, there were kids and adults alike making colorful, memorable gifts, including perennial favorites: ornaments, coffee mugs, and handprint platters.

To get in on the action, stop in today or tomorrow from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
