Spotted: Babies, kids and moms getting their groove on

Wednesday night’s summer concert at Fremont Park featured the soul/R&B sounds of Touch of Class, complete with a three-horn section. We mention the latter because every good band of this genre features sounds of brass. With a nod to Motown of old, the three singers did some dance routines as well as call and chants. But as usual with Menlo’s concerts, listeners moved to their own groove. This included a baby sporting a paper plate hat flapping her arms, and an inter-generational group of circle dancers. For those who’ve come to rely on Wednesday nights for their early evening entertainment, the last concert of the season, featuring the Beatles tribute band, the Sun Kings, is next week.
