Skateboarders take over the Valparaiso hill

For the second year in row, Menlo Park Skate Jam is taking place from the top of Valparaiso down to Avy. Sponsors and a DJ take up the territory at the bottom; at top  boarders wait to take their turn in during practice and competitive runs. The event, organized by Menlo-Atherton High School graduate David Hiltbrand, concludes around 5:00 pm, so there’s still time to wander over and take in the action during the finals.
