Spotted: M-A’s new bear guardian on PAC patio

The long covered bear statue was unveiled on Wednesday (10/19) on the Menlo-Atherton campus. Writes student Ross Dairiki in today’s edition of M-A Bear News: “Drumming, chanting, and cheering drew many others to the patio to watch this monumental event. ..Students were seen on their knees, bowing to the statue, to honor it as our new guardian animal.” Here’s background on the bear.
