Lessons & Carols at two Episcopal churches on Dec. 18

Menlo Park’s two Episcopal churches, St. Bede’s and Trinity, will be featuring the traditional Anglican service of Lesson & Carols on Sunday, Dec. 18.

Trinity’s service will take place at 10:00 am. Featured music includes Adam Lay Y’Bounden (a traditional carol), Advent Alleluia by J. Althouse,
and Turn Thee Again, O Lord by T. Attwood. The Trinity Ringers will perform E’en So, Lord Jesus, Quickly Come by Paul Manz arr. M.L. Thompson and The Travelers from Nazareth by Kathleen Wissinger on a text by Tamara Raetz (joined by the choir). Trinity Church is located at 330 Ravenswood Ave.

Harpest Annie Clark will join St. Bede’s choir at a candlelit service at 4:00 pm that will retell the Christmas story in poetry and scripture, with congregational carols and Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols. A reception follows in the parish hall. St. Bede’s is located at 2650 Sand Hill Road.
