by Linda Hubbard on May 29, 2012

The majority of a home’s water is used for landscaping which increases in warmer weather. Learn how to decrease outdoor water use by attending a Bay-Area Garden-Friendly Parking Lot Event. The City of Menlo Park has partnered with the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA), Home Depot and other local water agencies to co-sponsor the event on Saturday, June 2, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. at the East Palo Alto Home Depot Store located at 1781 E. Bayshore Road. At this event, residents can:

  • Learn about gardening with California Natives and drought-tolerant plants
  • Obtain water efficient plants, mulches and irrigation system deals
  • Learn from the experts at mini-clinics
