Sidewalk art festival continues on Sunday in downtown Menlo Park

by Linda Hubbard on October 21, 2012

Always a much less jam-packed event than the summer’s Connoisseurs’ Marketplace, the 16th annual Sidewalk Fine Arts and Crafts Fall Fest, which continues today, features a good balance of different art works with enough elbow room to browse, shop, and chat with the artisans.

Zen Modern DesignChuck, owner of Diamond Willow WoodWorks, was featuring not only his unique walking sticks, wooden bowls and a sampling of children’s furniture but also very bright and cheery wooden jack-o-lanterns at the El Camino end of Santa Cruz.

Closer to University, Deanna DeCharubon of Zen Modern Design was displaying her paper art, which she makes by hand starting with plant fiber.

Also available for sale at the street fair, which runs through 5:00 today on Santa Cruz Ave. in downtown Menlo Park, is jewelry, clothing, photography, painting, dolls, and sculpture.
