Menlo Park Chorus spring concert is April 26

by Linda Hubbard on April 21, 2013

Look to the Rainbow, the spring concert by the Menlo Park Chorus, is slated for Friday, April 26, at 7:30 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church (330 Ravenswood Ave.).  The evening’s music ranges from Broadway ballads and film tunes to traditional spirituals and a setting of Scottish romantic poetry. The city-sponsored Menlo Park Chorus performs under the direction of April McNeely with piano accompaniment by John Iosefa. A reception follows the concert.

“Our spring program reflects the lighthearted, optimistic mood of the season,” said McNeely.  “And we’re taking full advantage of our expanded tenor and bass sections. This program appeals to all generations.”

“If we sound joyous,” she added, “that’s because we’re celebrating more than spring. Our chorus has had recent marriages and births.”

Tickets for the concert are available at the door, at $15 general admission, $12 for seniors and students. Children under 12 are free.
