Family flipping pancakes to support Parkinson’s research – and journalist Dave Iverson – on Oct. 27

Lora Richardson sent along this information in the hopes of reaching the InMenlo community:
“Our dear family friend, journalist and local KQED celebrity, Dave Iverson (pictured) and TEAM FOX, will be running in the NYC marathon this November to raise awareness for Parkinson’s. The Iverson family has been affected deeply by this disease. Dave’s late father, older brother and Dave himself have all been diagnosed.
“Dave is very involved with TEAM FOX and the Michael J. Fox Foundation in hopes of someday finding a cure. [My husband] Mark and I would like to help in the fight and, along with some very crazy friends and flap jack makers, we are going to make PANCAKES FOR PARKINSON’S in the garage of our home on Sunday, October 27th from 10:00 am to noon. Yes, you heard it right – in our garage amongst the soccer balls, footballs, bikes and play station; address is 1055 San Mateo Drive. Big thanks for Ann’s Coffee Shop for donating the pancake batter.
“To refresh people’s memories, here’s a link to a documentary that Dave taped for Frontline on PBS in 2009 about his family’s journey with Parkinson’s. Please take a look at your convenience.”
