Another inch of rain gets dumped on Menlo Park

by Bill Russ on February 28, 2014

As of 7:30 am, with the skies brightening, there is an even one inch in my gauge. Most fell around 5:00 am when Sally and I were walking. My season-to-date total is now 6.05″.

Many concerned folks will be wondering about the Sierra snow pack which will fill the mountain reservoirs. I will be watching the local waterbanks. Anderson was at 38% and Lexington 30% before these recent storms. Lets see how the percentages are in two weeks when water has the opportunity to drain into them. Hetch Hetchy (pictured), one of the reservoirs that supplies Menlo Park drinking water, was at 53%.
