Getting up to date with Beth Philbin about her Heart on Your Wrist jewelry business

by Linda Hubbard Gulker on October 30, 2014

We heard that changes were afoot at Beth Philbin’s jewelry making location, Heart on Your Wrist. For one, the Menalto Corners/Willows neighborhood business now includes a retail shop.

Heart product shot“We launched as an online store and used this space to make the jewelry,” said Beth. “But I always wanted a storefront. And even though we really didn’t have space for it, I decided we should squeeze everything together and make room. I’m glad we did it.”

When we first profiled Beth, we learned she’s been making hand-stamped jewelry for about a decade. Explains her website: “Hand stamped military tags for Dad, personalized mommy jewelry, custom necklaces with names, name rings, letter necklaces, engraved necklaces, monogram jewelry — you name it, and we can make it for you.”

The  retail operation allows them to sell to the many people who pass by, drawn to the Menalto Corners’ cluster of services as well as Cafe Zoe.

When they stop by, they can see Beth’s newest jewelry line which incorporates a person’s handwritten note. “We get a little bit of everything,” explains Beth. “Kids notes to parents. Love notes from couples.

“Incorporating handwriting in jewelry is something I’ve been thinking about for five years. We’re pleased that it seems to be meeting a need.”
