Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park hosts Open Studios on November 7 & 8

The Allied Arts Guild is inviting the community to stop by on November 7 and 8 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm for Open Studios 2014 featuring activities and shopping.

On Saturday, Nov. 8 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, renowned travel artist, Portola Art Gallery artist, and instructor Steve Curl will draw your caricature for $25. On Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Carolyn Jones will wow you with her caricature talent for $20.

There will also be a silent auction where you can bid on up to six Elva Senter (1892-1973) watercolor paintings. She is a listed mid-century artist who resided in Menlo Park for most of her life and painted local historic scenes. This auction will feature six of her large watercolors, including several of the old Woodside Store.

Food and refreshments will also be offered by participating shops and the Blue Garden Café will be serving lunch (reservations recommended).

Participating shops are offering a variety of artwork, including paintings,photography, pottery, handmade jewelry, clothing and accessories plus more. Participants in the Allied Arts Guild Open Studio are:
