Sea urchins are the stars at today’s Menlo Park Farmers’ Market

Pietro Parravano is selling sea urchins at the Menlo Park Farmers’ Market this morning for $9.95 a pound. He was explaining to customers that they are eaten raw, after the admittedly tricky part of getting to the flesh. There are a number of YouTube videos that explain how to do it; here’s one.
