by Contributed Content on March 8, 2015

Free CERT training is being offered this month in Menlo Park. CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team. The training teaches you how to take care of yourself, your neighbors, and help your community in the event of an emergency or disaster. You’ll learn things like how to properly put out a fire, lift heavy objects off people, how to triage a group of injured people, and  more.

Training sessions are on  March 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, March 21 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and March 28 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Menlo Park Fire Protection District Station 77, 1467 Chilco Street. Email Carol Parker for more information: carolp@menlofire.org.
