Encinal’s Second Annual Science Fair is a success with over 80 participants
Last evening, Encinal Elementary School held it’s Second Annual Science Fair. Over 80 young scientists, ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade, contributed .
Projects included “What flavor of ice cream melts faster?” and “Do chickens who get a special treat lay more eggs?”
Students also enjoyed hands-on science stations thanks to Jeff DeCurtins and some of his M-A high school students as well as the Lawrence Hall of Science.
The science evening is sponsored by the Encinal PTO and organized by Encinal mom Melissa Berhow and MA student Navya Ann.

This just showed up on my newsfeed with today’s date. Please do not tell me Encinal School held this event on Friday, April 3rd. If so, shame on them for scheduling a major event on the first night of Passover and on Good Friday!

I’m sure it will be on a different night next year to try to appease everyone.
Meanwhile, though, I have to ask, what would religious people want with a *science* fair anyway? 🙂
